ALL SOULS PROCESSION
November 6, 2011 / Tucson, AZ

The Procession - Starts at Epic Cafe on 4th Ave and University at 5 p.m. and leaves at 6 p.m.  Be there prior to toss your prayer card in the urn.  It’s a long procession this year, so wear comfy shoes If you’re walking the whole thing (which I highly encourage). 

Grand Finale - Starts when the Procession arrives at the Grand Finale site at Mercado San Augustin on West Congress.  Typically begins around 9pm.  Several visual and musical acts.  Get there early for the best views.  

Dance of the Dead - Celebrate with Calexico and friends at the wonderful and historic Rialto Theatre from 8pm – 12am. GA tickets are $25 (advanced) / $27 night of the show.

Tips - Dress in layers as it tends to get cold as the night progresses. Bring a camera. Bring water… it’s Tucson! Grab a spot somewhere in the middle of the route to catch most of the procession then jump in as the floats taper off. If you dont feel like sweating off your face paint over the course of the night try your hand at a painted paper mache mask. Most importantly be aware of your surroundings, be careful and be respectful.
